Ian & Jo McGarry would like to welcome you to join them on their nursery in Caragh just outside Naas, Co Kildare. The nursery spreads over 55 acres of excellent Kildare land and encompasses a good deal of acreage dedicated to the growing of trees and hedging, a potted tree area, shrubs and flowering plants and approx half an acre of glasshouses. We are a production nursery and so not always the cleanest of places, but a bit of muck never hurt anyone! One thing you will find here though is a bargain and some really interesting specimens too.
We know that growing trees and making gardens is the best job in the world and we’d like to share that with you, so come along, have a wander, bring the family and make a day of it or at least pass an hour or two. There is always someone on hand to give advice or guidance on your choice of plants or trees. As well as having plenty of experience in growing trees and plants we also understand gardens with 20+ years of landscaping experience so we can advise you on the design for your own back yard!
As well as talking to trees we also talk to our animals and always have a few rare-breeds around the nursery; chickens, pigs, sheep, geese and cattle as well as Mac the bassett hound and Prince our very capable sheep dog. Bring the kids to what we think of as our own little oasis, bring a picnic if you wish and look at what we find everyday at Caragh Nurseries.
