  • Acorus gramineus Ogon

    'Ogon' is an attractive, dwarf, rush-like plant with gold and green variegated leaves which, while not fully evergreen, will withstand all but the worst winters. Grown only for their foliage, these plants associate well with other compact evergreens. Its size makes it suitable for small water features

  • Briza media

    Although it's a native grass, this easily-grown perennial is worthy of a place in any border when its large quaking seed heads erupt over the foliage in summer. When first open, the seed heads are green but they gradually take on golden shades as summer progresses and become almost animated when touched by a gentle summer breeze.

  • Calamagrostis Karl Foerster

    One of the best upright growing grasses that forms a stiff clump. It's easy to grow and is tolerant of most soil conditions, although its size is usually determined by the amount of moisture in the soil. In summer it produces tall flowerheads that start off pale green and gradually turn bright golden yellow. These move in the breeze and last into the winter months.

  • Carex comans Bronze

    This interesting sedge forms dense tussocks of narrow, bronze-brown leaves. It is a versatile grass that is happy in most situations in sun or shade. The small inconspicuous flowers are borne in summer over its evergreen foliage. It is useful for providing winter interest in the herbaceous border when other plants have died back
